Getting close....
Almost finished with the new CD. Yeah, it's taken a long time, some setbacks, but we're back on track and close to it. We've also taken on a new moto this year. Just say 'YES'. So with that, we're headed to Los Angeles for a house concert in a beautiful home tucked up in the Hollywood Hills in October (Message us if you'd like to attend. boneorchard_music@hotmail.com) and to Philadelphia for the oldest Salon in the country in April of 2018. More to come. If there is somewhere you'd like us to do a house concert or other....give us a hello and, in the words of my favorite, Doc Holliday, "say when!"..... and where.

Wow time flies by....when you're having medical fun!
It's been a long while since I posted here, well, let's just say that Obamacare gave me a chance to take care of some long time medical issues and so last year was all about recovering from several surgeries! But I'm back and feeling better than I have in a long time! Back in the saddle again with the cd recording and gigs coming up. Check out our schedule frequently, I'm adding gigs as we go along! Looking forward to a fun nice long summer of music and enjoying the outdoors...and great health! .... I hope the same for you....Carol

Catching up
Hard to believe we're in the third month of 2015 already! We ended up taking a few months off due to some medical issues that are now resolved, but doing well now! and jumping, well slowly ;-) moving back into it all. Thought I'd post this sweet page of Dan and I from the Valentine's Day issue in the Tempo of the Taos News. "Five Creative Couples of Taos", Taos is soooo full of amazing creative couples that we felt very honored to be included. You can read the article online at Taosnews.com go to archives and it's the Jan. 12th Tempo edition, our photo is on the one page and about us on the next. Photo credit: the fabulous Pattie Traynor photographer. But Taos News did a nice layout there!

Due to inquiries about doing a smaller act for certain occasions, Dan and I have created a new little trio act we call Sadie Orchard. It consists of Dan, Douglas Goodhart, who also is playing in Bone Orchard (they call him the Professor because he can play and teach so many instruments) and myself. We've written some new Spanish style songs that I just love! .....El Dorado, Manolito (we'll be playing them with Bone Orchard too) ...and there ya go! So tonight, we'll be performing at the "Music From Angel Fire" Benefit up at the Angel Fire Resort. We're honored to be asked to play this event as "Music From Angel Fire" is a world class Classical Music series held around the Enchanted Circle every summer, you'll hear it sometimes on NPR. As you know, we're definitely not Classical Music, so I appreciate they are using a different style for their benefit evening event. Champagne, appetizers and The Bone Orchard Trio, AKA Sadie Orchard! $50 a person...join us for a wonderful evening!

Happy New Year
I can't believe I haven't posted a new post since November! That holiday season certainly takes some time!
So Happy New Year everyone! Really looking forward to 2014, started it out with a fabulouso gig at the Cowgirl BBQ last Friday night. Lot's of dancers filling the floor and great energy.
We really ARE going to get our cd done this year. But the delay has given us some time to write some new songs and we're are so excited to add them to the cd.
I hope that 2014 brings you everything you hope for. It's the year of the green horse in the Chinese astrology. Yes, I know there are so many beliefs out there to latch onto, but hey, my grandfather was born in China, so I figure there's some connection there. So, that means adventure and fast victories and unexpected success, may you have all that and more! See you out there, check out our show page for where you'll catch us next.
